Chheng Residence, Siem Reap

The hotel offers quite fantastic and modern rooms connecting with Khmer traditional decoration, with a tranquil swimming pool providing a relaxing atmosphere. However, there were lots of mosquitos in the family room, which is not the fault of the hotel.

When I arrived, the room was beautifully decorated and spacious, with enough room for 3 adults. However, I did encounter ants on the walls and in the bed, which was a downside. The service throughout my stay was wonderful - from the warm welcome by the reception staff to the friendly and extremely attentive driver who took us to Angkor Wat temples. The location was ideal, walking distance from the town centre and close to the night market and pub street. The dining experience was nice and full of delicate, delicious a la carte dishes. The facilities were great, but I did notice that every time the tap was on, water would spill all over, requiring some caution. Overall, a mix of positives and negatives to consider.
