City Hotel West, Frankfurt am Main

Wow, the room was surprisingly spacious and a step above what we expected for the price. However, it was quite cold throughout the night. The location was convenient, close to the train station, but being in the red light district was a downside.

The hotel exceeded my expectations, offering spacious rooms of a higher standard than anticipated for the price paid. However, the room smelled of cigarette smoke and dirt, which was a downside.

The hotel had both positive and negative aspects. The rooms were clean but had a strong cigarette smell that even airing out couldn't eliminate. The rooms were in a Mediterranean style and decently sized, although housekeeping was lacking. On the downside, the location was in a noisy, red-light district making it feel very unsafe.

My stay at the hotel was quite convenient as it was very near Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, making it easy to access everything. The room had 2 large windows providing good natural light, but unfortunately, it had bedbugs. The hallway seemed a bit dark and dingy, contrasting with the well-lit room.

The hotel had some significant issues such as unpleasant smells, lack of cleanliness, and presence of bugs, although the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was not ideal due to surrounding hazards, but the price was considered fair. Dining options were limited, and the facilities had some shortcomings.
