I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and fairly clean, with comfy beds that I thoroughly enjoyed. However, there was quite a bit of noise coming from the next-door room. The service was super friendly and helpful; the staff recommended some great restaurants and even showed us a safe walking route. The location was quite convenient and quiet, although it could benefit from dehumidifiers to combat the mildew smell in the rooms. The dining experience was okay, although it would be nice to see more variety in the breakfast options. Overall, it was a nice stay with some minor drawbacks worth considering.

The hotel had an old mildew smell in the rooms; however, it is in the process of remodel/repair as seen with partial paint touch-ups in some areas. The staff provided excellent lunch and dinner recommendations, and I appreciated being outside of downtown. Louisiana people were incredibly friendly. The shuttle service to dinner was convenient. I highly recommend trying out Harbor Seafood & Oyster Bar and Tavern on Vets, both offering delicious wings and burgers, even though they are not upscale.
