My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were clean and nicely updated, but there was an unpleasant smell in the air and no sheets or pillows for the pull-out couch. The service was friendly and helpful overall, although there was a strange incident of staff entering our room without knocking. The location had its charms, being in a great neighborhood but also under construction and showing signs of neglect. The dining experience was somewhat restricted due to ongoing remodeling, but the usual comfort fare was hot and fresh. The facilities were decent, with a typical hotel continental breakfast available. Price-wise, it was acceptable for what was provided.
