Homewood Suites Dulles-International Airport, Herndon

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, though wonderful in terms of having what we needed, had a terrible smell due to the malfunctioning A/C. Despite feeling more like a home than a hotel room, the experience was dampened by a non-functional microwave and a dishwasher that didn't fully open in my new accommodation.

This hotel is a gem with its friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and great location. However, the dining options could be improved. The facilities are impressive and well-maintained, offering a good value for the price.

The hotel is like a small one-bedroom apartment with windows on two sides, making it feel cozy. While not amazing, it provides a comfortable stay. The service was professional, yet the lack of additional Queen suites was a bit disappointing. The location is convenient for business travelers, but some issues like leaking from the roof affected the experience. Dining was wonderful on some mornings but mediocre overall. The facilities, like the airport shuttle and grocery shopping service, were handy.

My new accommodation had a kitchen with a stove, but unfortunately, the microwave didn't work, and the dishwasher wouldn't fully open. The room lacked opening windows and had poor ventilation, needing a thorough cleaning or even a renovation as the carpet and fixtures showed signs of aging. On the positive side, I appreciated being able to stay in one of the two-room suites.

This hotel feels more like a home than a hotel room, with excellent and free services such as printing and laundry facilities. The staff are accommodating and nice, but there were some issues with inconsistent information and a pungent smell in the van. The dining options may lack freshness but still significantly enhance the stay.
