The hotel is conveniently located in downtown with easy access to everything San Diego has to offer. The rooms may seem a bit dated and cater to a more budget-conscious crowd, but they provide a simple and affordable stay. However, the service can be hit or miss with issues like cleanliness and maintenance. The location is great for those who want to explore the city, but there are some drawbacks like the strange smell that needs to be addressed. The dining options are limited but decent, especially for the price.

When I arrived at the hotel, I found the rooms dirty with a used towel and even a clogged toilet, but the view was fantastic and the fridge was useful. After being moved to a different room that was across from the kitchen, I noticed a bunch of hair in the bathtub. The location was great, close to main attractions, but there was nothing close by to connect with good restaurants or supermarkets. The dining experience was just enough, with a hardworking staff member refilling breads, yogurts, and fruits, but I had to deal with unexpected cleanliness issues. The price seemed a bit high for what was provided.

The hotel had clean and nicely lit rooms with plenty of towels, but they felt small for a family of five. The service was kind and helpful, although there were mixed experiences with parking fees.
