Best Western Plus Kalamazoo Suites, Kalamazoo

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were humongous and had a refrigerator and microwave, which was very convenient. However, the cleanliness was not up to par, with duct tape at the threshold and a headboard in bad shape. I also missed having a hair dryer available.

The hotel is conveniently located near Western Michigan University, suited our travel needs nicely, and is a good stopover in Kalamazoo. The rooms, although needing a bit of maintenance, were pet-free and wouldn't deter me from staying again. The service was friendly, but there was occasional loitering at the front desk. The dining options were fabulous, offering a variety including gluten-free and lactose-free choices. The location was beautiful, clean, and easily accessible to downtown Kalamazoo, making Uber trips affordable. The facilities were well-equipped, and overall, it's a great value for another stay.

I must say, my stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and enjoyable, with the added convenience of a built-in counter to place my suitcase on. However, I did expect a better TV setup in a room with 2 queen beds. The service, on the other hand, was absolutely delightful, with the staff going above and beyond despite having to deal with cleaning up after some messy guests. As for the location, it was easy to find off the highway, close to Western Michigan University, and near enough to downtown Kalamazoo for convenient Uber rides. While the dining options were just so-so, the hotel did offer a decent breakfast, though some more variety would have been appreciated.
