Hampton Inn & Suites Charlotte Arrowood Rd, Charlotte

I found the hotel to be a great stay overall. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet, which was a big plus. The service was friendly and helpful, although there was a minor hiccup when I needed assistance involving the police. The location was convenient, especially for a stopover during a long drive. The dining experience left a bit to be desired, but the complimentary offerings were still a nice touch.

Staying in a room just above the outdoor pool was perfect, very nice, and very comfortable. The staff also provided us with directions to avoid the crowded interstate, saving us time on our way to the Charlotte Speedway. However, the noise from what sounded like a jet plane taking off about every half hour was a bit disruptive.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were great and very clean, with plenty of space for the family to stretch out, but there was a funny smell that lingered throughout our stay. The service was pleasant overall, although I was surprised when I asked them to call the police for me. The location was convenient, with good access to Carowinds, but we had to drive a ways to find something other than fast food. The dining was disappointing, as it was not fresh and some items were stale. The facilities were adequate for our needs.
