Alex Hotel And Suites, Anchorage

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms had a stove which was convenient, but there were stains on the carpet and tears in the curtains. Having to walk across an icy parking lot to a secondary building for my room made it uncomfortable, especially since the room would get cold. However, the service offered some positives with a large room and a great view of the mountains, though some staff members seemed unhelpful. The location was good, close to the airport and eateries, but it was noted to be in an area with a high homeless community. The dining experience left much to be desired, with disappointing aspects in the breakfast options. Overall, it was a bit of a hit-and-miss stay.

The hotel was quite convenient, being next to the airport and not too far from downtown Anchorage. The rooms, although clean and comfortable, lacked some basic amenities like a washcloth and an extra pillow for a king-sized bed. The service was a mix, with some staff being friendly like the Filipino or South Sea Islander individuals, but others were rude and unhelpful. The dining had a good variety, but a fruit option would have been a nice addition. The location required a rental car to reach Downtown Anchorage easily.

The hotel offers spacious rooms with a slight issue of having no light and a noticeable smell of pot and cigarette smoke but overall, the size is impressive. The service was compassionate and quick to address any concerns, and the location is conveniently close to the airport with minor issues in some areas.
