Van Der Valk Hotel Paris Cdg Airport, Roissy-en-France

The hotel was a bit of a mix in terms of the rooms, with a funny combination of furniture that didn't quite match. It was decent for resting and washing up, although the air conditioning was a bit noisy. The service was a pleasant surprise, despite some initial issues locating us late at night. The location was basic and lacked atmosphere but was convenient for airport-related activities. The dining was advertised well but didn't live up to expectations. The hotel had some positives and negatives worth noting.

The hotel had good amenities but the rooms were very tired and quite frankly depressing. There were bad smells from the kitchen. The toilet seat was broken and the wardrobe light would not switch off. Service was wonderful, especially the restaurant staff being very friendly. The location was convenient for a stopover, ideal for informal meetings, and close to the exhibition area. The dining experience was basic at best.

The hotel had a shabby room with poor lighting, inefficient air conditioning, stained carpet, and a tub shower that did not drain. Unfortunately, it was not ready upon arrival, and my room overlooked the noisy highway. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful. They did seem unsure when addressing billing questions, and late checkout was not guaranteed. The location was perfect for my needs, close to the airport terminal, but away from city traffic. The dining experience was good, but the quantity was lacking, suitable only if you have an early flight. The facilities were basic, and the next morning extermination was a concern.
